MIDO recently dropped a trio of watches that prove skeleton dials can be more than just eye candy—they can be full-on performance machines. The new Multifort Skeleton Chronograph lineup combines mechanical intrigue with rugged capability, honoring the collection’s legacy while pushing it into sleek, modern territory.

Housed in a 43mm stainless steel case (or a stealthy PVD version), each watch is water-resistant to 100 meters and built around MIDO’s automatic Caliber 60 movement. Based on the ETA A05.951, it delivers a 60-hour power reserve and features a Nivachron balance spring for added shock and magnetic resistance—because this watch is meant to be worn, not babied.

The openworked dial reveals the brass gears and satin finishes of the movement beneath, with three sporty colorways to choose from. The blue version is sharp and modern, paired with a rubber strap and silver accents. The anthracite model keeps it cool with grey-on-grey tones and a stainless steel bracelet. But the real showstopper? The all-black PVD version, featuring orange Super-LumiNova accents, screams speed and style.

All three feature a 3-6-9 subdial layout, fluted screw-down crowns, and chronograph pushers that blend function with flair. With sapphire crystals, quick-change strap systems, and high-legibility hands, the MIDO Multifort Skeleton Chronograph is a rare mix of utility and visual drama.
