Microsoft hasn’t done much in the mobile tech world for some time now. Realistically, outside of its lineup of Surface Pros the company hasn’t had all that much success in the sector, as the Windows Phone failed to gain traction against Android and Apple. Going back some years, others might remember the failed Zune experiment. However, Microsoft is looking to make a push back with a recently announced smartphone running on the Android OS and the all-new Microsoft Surface Earbuds. These are the first truly wireless earbuds released by the company as the company looks to directly compete with both Apple and Samsung in the wireless earbud market.
The Microsoft Surface Earbuds have a sleek, circular appearance, looking more like a gauge someone might wear in their earlobe, only positioned right in the ear canal. The larger touchable surface allows for more gesture swiping controls than any other earbud on the market, and it’s even possible to control Microsoft Office applications with it, which may push it over the top for some users.
