Merrell and Perks and Mini are back in terrain that feels equal parts trailhead and science fiction. The latest Merrell x P.A.M. collection centers on two models: the $190 Cham Storm GORE-TEX and the $120 Hydro Next Gen Moc. Both use recognizable Merrell foundations, but P.A.M. bends their surfaces, proportions, and colors into something less predictable.

The Cham Storm is the more technical option. A 3D silicone-treated engineered mesh upper gains waterproof protection from GORE-TEX, while a toggle lacing system tightens quickly. A molded TPU heel counter adds control, FloatMax foam handles cushioning, and a Vibram outsole provides trail-ready traction.

The Hydro Next Gen Moc strips the idea down to a sculpted slip-on, pairing an EVA shell with FloatMax cushioning and a rubber outsole. Pigeon/Cement and Teak palettes reinforce the collection’s mineral, post-human look.

P.A.M.’s intervention works because it does not erase function. The collaboration belongs beside other fashion-conscious trail projects, but the two-shoe approach offers a useful choice between weather protection and recovery-day ease.
The collection is available through Merrell, with pricing that remains approachable by limited-collaboration standards.
