William Massena’s NYC-based Massena LAB continues to punch above its weight, teaming up with Swiss indie watchmaker Raúl Pagès for a third time. Following the critically acclaimed Magraph and Absinthe, their latest collaboration, the Noctograph, builds upon their shared vision of accessible high-end horology.

While Pagès isn’t hand-assembling every movement like his own creations, he’s deeply involved in the design, style, and overseeing the production of the caliber M660, even lending his signature tortoise ‘poinçon Pagès’ as a mark of approval.

The Noctograph retains its predecessors’ elegant 38.5mm steel case, drawing inspiration from classic Calatrava designs with polished surfaces and brushed sides. The real star, however, might be the vertically brushed blue dial. Depending on the light, it shifts from slate to petrol, a subtle yet captivating detail. A rhodium-plated chapter ring and recessed small seconds add to the vintage-inspired aesthetic, while steel leaf hands tell the time.

Powering this beauty is a hand-finished, Swiss-made manual-winding movement with a 60-hour power reserve. Based on an AMT Manufacture architecture, it’s been decorated to Pagès’ exacting standards with Geneva stripes and perlage. Limited to 99 pieces and priced at $8,875, the Noctograph is another compelling offering from this dynamic duo, proving that independent watchmaking can deliver stunning design and exceptional craftsmanship.
