Raúl Pagès and Massena LAB are both legendary watchmakers. It comes as no surprise that the collaboration between Pagès and Massena LAB resulted in a watch so desirable it has already sold out and is on a waitlist for March 2023 delivery.
The Magraph by Massena LAB and Raúl Pagès is the two watchmakers’ first collaboration and Pagès’ first ever. The most notable feature of the watch, apart from its head-turning look, is the M660 movement created by Raúl Pagès in Switzerland.
This all-new 4Hz movement is manual-winding with a 60-hour power reserve and Côtes de Genève finishing. It is visible through the transparent case back. Pagès stamped his signature “La tortue” under the balance wheel.
The Magraph’s dial draws inspiration from 1930s Bauhaus design, with its defined geometric shapes and straight lines. The dial is off-white in the center with a matte surface and features a circular-grained and rhodium-plated outermost sector ring. The finishing touch is the use of heated blued steel hours, minutes, and seconds hands. The style is minimalist yet poignant. The case is 38.5mm and stainless steel. It looks like it traveled through time from the 1930s and ’40s.
Jean Rousseau Paris designed the rubber-lined sturgeon skin strap specifically for Massena LAB. The collaborative Magraph by Massena LAB and Raúl Pagès release initially included only 99 pieces, which have already sold out. However, interested customers can join the waitlist for March 2023 delivery.
