LG’s StanbyME 2 Max expands the brand’s movable smart display concept with a larger 32-inch touchscreen, sharper 4K picture quality, and enough battery life to move between rooms without staying tied to an outlet. The new model builds on the original StanbyME’s lifestyle-screen premise but gives it a more serious spec sheet for flexible living spaces, home offices, and apartments where a fixed TV or monitor can feel limiting.

The 32LX6BWGA model uses LG’s α8 AI Processor 4K Gen3, which adjusts picture performance based on content, while webOS brings streaming apps, more than 400 free LG Channels, and software updates through LG’s webOS Re:New program. The touchscreen interface allows direct control without relying entirely on a remote, and LG includes TV mirroring for sharing content from a mobile device. It also supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, giving the portable format a more cinematic setup than the category typically suggests.

The core appeal remains mobility. LG rates the built-in battery at up to 4.5 hours, and the screen can be detached, carried, and positioned away from its stand. A USB-C connection adds another layer of utility, making the StanbyME 2 Max useful for casual productivity, media playback, or quick second-screen setups. LG’s product page also notes preorder shipping is expected the week of July 26, 2026, or as inventory becomes available.
The StanbyME 2 Max is less about replacing a dedicated home theater display and more about making a screen easier to live with. For users who want one display to shift from streaming station to work companion to casual gaming screen, LG’s larger StanbyME gives the portable TV category a more polished, capable form.
