Lamborghini is about to embark on a new chapter, one powered by more than just gasoline. But before it can start fresh, it needs to say goodbye to the gas-fed 12-cylinder beast nestled behind the seat of one of its most famed models, the Aventador. So, Lamborghini says goodbye to its naturally aspirated V12 engine with two one-off swan song cars, the Invencible and Autentica.

The Lamborghini Invencible and Autentica, a coupe and roadster, are carbon-fiber-bodied masterpieces built on the Aventador platform. The design of this pair of supercars was inspired by a greatest hits collection of past concepts, and limited edition V12-powered Lamborghinis from the recent past. Cars like the Lamborghini Veneno and Essenza SCV12. Stand-out features on these cars include hexagonal-shaped vents inspired by the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento concept car of 2010. In addition to air vents constructed using 3D printing.

The Lamborghini Invencible coupe features a striking red paint job with carbon fiber treated with red flakes. Its scissor doors are decorated with three-color hexagons representing the Italian flag. Moreover, the interior continues the theme with Rosso Alala leather and Nero Cosmus Alcantara with custom embroidery.

The Lamborghini Autentica roadster is dressed in Grigio Titans accented with black and yellow. Moreover, the bespoke roadster features an integrated roll bar. Its interior has custom Giallo Taurus (yellow) embroidery to contrast the Nero Cosmus and Grigio Octans colored leather upholstery.

As for the engine, both models pay tribute to the 6.5-liter V12, producing 769 horsepower and 531 lb.-ft of torque. A seven-speed ISR gearbox manages the engine’s output to an all-wheel drive system.

While the Lamborghini Invencible and Autentica say goodbye to the naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12, we must say hello to the next evolution in Lamborghini performance. An all-new PHEV (plug-in hybrid) V12 powertrain to become an available option starting with the Urus SUV.
