Just few short hours after Mercedes-AMG debuted its new GT R Roadster in advance of the official Geneva Motor Show, Lamborghini dropped another exceptional drop top in the form of its Aventador SVJ Roadster.
When it comes to overall performance, the SVJ simply blows the GT R out of the water. Not that there’s anything wrong with the GT R’s twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, but it’s tough to beat the SVJ’s naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 – a massive engine that is capable of producing 759 horsepower and 531 foot-pounds of torque. Aided by a state-of-the-art, 7-speed ISR transmission and all-wheel drive system, this engine can propel the SVJ from 0 to 62 miles per hour in less than 3 seconds and top out at speeds that exceed 217 miles per hour.
And of course, this Lamborghini looks as great as it drives. (Heck, it’s a Lamborghini.) With carbon components and a highly aerodynamic design, this car sports a “futuristic aesthetic that makes no compromises.”
