This week, Ronnie Fieg, fashion designer and owner of footwear and clothing brand Kith has been posting teasers foreshadowing an alleged collaboration between his brand and German luxury sports automaker BMW. One post features a Zinno red 1989 BMW E30 M3 sporting the word “KITH” on the E30’s hood-mounted BMW badge. Fieg’s Instagram caption states this car was modified overseas and recently arrived home from Germany. A custom interior shows Kith branded in a pattern on the headrest and seats. Kith is also displayed on the E30’s wheel center hubs. This is just one of several posts hinting at a Kith and BMW collaboration

No details have been disclosed as to what kind of collaboration this will be. Whether it will be a special edition appearance package on a 2021 M3 or limited edition BMW footwear by Kith, nevertheless, this is not the first time fashion and automotive worlds collide. Just ask anyone who’s slapped a Supreme decal on a Lamborghini or purchased a pair of Ferrari Puma sneakers. Fieg himself is a fan of the Barvarian automaker posting an old photograph of his aunt standing next to his grandfather’s 1979 BMW E21 with the caption, “This started it all for me.” We can presume this collaboration, whatever it may be, will be centered around Fieg’s long-standing passion for BMW cars.
