To mark the Year of the Tiger in 2022, IWC is introducing the latest iteration of its Pilot’s Watch, the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Edition “Chinese New Year”. Designed with a striking burgundy dial paired with a stainless-steel case, the timepiece is powered by IWC’s 69385 caliber and has a specially designed tiger-shaped rotor, both of which can be viewed through the sapphire glass case back. Burgundy is a variant of the bright red color representative of Chinese New Year celebrations. It is a color that symbolizes vitality, longevity, happiness, and success, and is also often associated with good luck.
This IWC special edition watch is a bold addition to the Pilot’s Watch collection. At 2mm smaller than earlier versions of the Pilot’s Watch lineup, the Chronograph Edition Chinese New Year features a 41mm case. The IWC chronograph function displays hours, minutes, and seconds along with the day and date display. IWC’s legacy of craftsmanship is further evidenced in the Chinese New Year Edition Chronograph in its 231 components and 33 jewels. The timepiece’s bold splash of color is continued with its matching burgundy leather strap to complete the sophisticated look. Only 500 of these exceptional watches have been produced in a limited run to celebrate the new year.
