In the I Lost My Body Official Trailer, the award-winning animated film shares the story of a severed hand on a quest to find the rest of its body. The movie, based on Guillaume Laurant’s novel Happy Hand, was screened as part of the International Critics’ Week section of the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, where it was awarded the Nespresso Grand Prize, becoming the first animated movie to do so.
The story follows the severed hand through Paris in a quest to reunite with pizza boy Naoufel, recalling memories of Naoufel and his love, librarian Gabrielle, seeking and answers and hoping for reconciliation for the three. The movie premieres in select theaters on November 15 and on Netflix on November 29.
