Hublot made a splash at LVMH Digital Watch Week this past week with the release of a number of new timepieces. Among them is the Big Bang Sang Bleu II chronograph. Described accurately as “bringing together the world of Haute horology and abstract art,” this new release blends authentic watchmaking and precision with the timelessness and artistic component of “grapho-typo-tattoos.” Artist Maxime Plescia-Buchi, a famed tattoo artist, began working with Hublot in 2016, creating the original Hublot San Bleu watches. Now, the Hublot Big Bang Sang Bleu II brings together patented luxury materials with iconic geometric designs and details.

Adorned with Plescia-Buchi’s designs around the case and bezel, the watch features Hublot’s self-winding HUB1240 Unico chronograph movement inside a transparent 45mm diameter case. The watch comes in three color options: Magic Gold, Black Magic, and Green Ceramic. Magic Gold is a patented material made by Hublot, a scratch-resistant metal made of 18k gold. Only 100 pieces of the Hublot Big Bang Sang Bleu II will be manufactured in Magic Gold, 250 in the Black Magic, and 200 in the Green Ceramic design.
