Architecture is an art form that can seamlessly blend into natural surroundings as if it grew out of the earth itself. That is the exact effect that House BRAS by DDM Architectuur creates. The construction, which is located outside of Antwerp, is designed specifically to blend in with its environment while taking in the cascading daylight that envelopes it. The building has 3 individual zones as part of its design, including the living area, an exercise area, and a room for music.
Nearly every room has floor-to-ceiling glass windows while the roof is constructed with masonry that helps direct water flow, making it easier to collect. The roofing also reduces heat exposure from direct sunlight, which helps reduce energy costs. There are no stairs within the house, Instead, each zone is connected via glazed passages, so no matter where you stand you have a beautiful view of the home’s scenic surroundings.
