The HOKA Tecton X is a trail-racing shoe developed for speed and comfort. HOKA One One has dedicated itself to designing running shoes that are “remarkably kind to the human body and still be world-class fast.” To this end, HOKA’s Tecton X features a brand-new ProFlyX midsole that merges a light, responsive foam base with ultra-soft foam underfoot for speed and comfort on long trail runs. Aiding the propulsion of the ProFlyX foam are parallel carbon-fiber plates – the brand’s first trail shoe to incorporate this technology – contained within the midsole. These features provide the wearer with a responsive yet cushioned feel.
The Tecton X is bolstered by Vibram Megagrip with Litebase, a sticky rubber technology designed to maximize ground contact and traction on challenging terrain. The HOKA Tecton X is constructed with foot-hugging single-layer engineered mesh jacquard uppers, with the molded EVA sockliners offering comfort and a precise fit. The shoe has a protective toe cap that is specifically designed for protection from rocks and trail debris. HOKA One One has finished the shoe with a Ghillie lacing system made from recycled materials.
