The Murph no longer needs a black dial to keep one foot in Interstellar. Hamilton’s Khaki Field Murph 38mm returns with a blue-to-black gradient that gives the cinematic field watch a distinctly cosmic new register.

The dial’s luminous blue center is intended to recall ionized gases around an interstellar comet, fading toward black at the perimeter. A pronounced grain adds stardust-like texture rather than relying on color alone. Slightly domed Arabic numerals and cathedral hands preserve the Murph’s recognizable face, while nickel-plated hour and minute hands receive Super-LumiNova for low-light legibility.

Its architecture remains usefully restrained. The stainless-steel case measures 38mm across and 11.1mm thick, with a 20mm lug width. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal, exhibition caseback, and 100 meters of water resistance keep it aligned with Hamilton’s broader field-watch line. Inside, the automatic H-10 movement delivers an 80-hour power reserve and uses a Nivachron balance spring to reduce the effects of magnetism, temperature changes, and shocks.
Two references distinguish the finish. H70405740 pairs the dial with black calf leather, white contrast stitching, and a pin buckle. The steel-bracelet reference H70405140 adds a contemporary three-row profile and folding clasp.
Both versions are currently in stock through Hamilton in the United States. The leather model costs $995, while the bracelet model is priced at $1,045.
