A busy life demands only the best workhorse accessories, like the Hamilton Intra-Matic Chronograph H. Not only does it deliver in a general sense — timekeeping is obviously its job — but it also captures the old-world appeal of the classic hand-wound chronograph. The watch boasts an entirely new hand-wound Hamilton caliber H-51 movement; it features 60 hours of power reserve, beats at 4Hz, and is housed behind a solid, polished caseback with the retro-style Hamilton logo and wordmark engraved.
Nicely sized at 40mm, the Hamilton Intra-Matic Chronograph H offers a certain sleek, streamlined quality that’s clean and contemporary, yet also pulls a hint of inspiration from the late 1960s Hamilton Chronograph A and B watches. The result is a piece that is vintage-gone-modern. The watch is available in a black dial with beige chronograph subdials or the reverse. The dials of the Intra-Matic Chronograph H watches are clean and very reminiscent of the original watches. Hamilton has added some fauxtina (lume with a patinated color) to the hands and the markers, although there is no lume for the chronograph. The watch is available on either a leather strap or a steel mesh bracelet with a polished clasp.
