Marsh and Jan Mokhtari, the founders of Golden State Distillery, have created a beautifully crafted spirit that celebrates California’s natural beauty while also protecting the Gray Whale. Gray Whale Gin is a product of their love for California and their passion for nature conservation.
The gin is consciously crafted using a 6-times distilled, gluten-free corn base spirit that provides a blank canvas for the Californian botanicals to shine. The botanicals are carefully selected, sourced from sustainable farms or wild foraged, and include Temecula limes, sea kelp from Mendocino, and fir tree needles from Sonoma. All of these ingredients are foraged along the migratory path of the Gray Whale, which is celebrated through the gin.
Every bottle of Gray Whale Gin supports Oceana, the largest organization in the world solely devoted to marine conservation, and 1% for the Planet, pledging to contribute at least one percent of annual sales to environmental causes. This commitment demonstrates the company’s dedication to supporting wildlife and nature.
The Gray Whale Gin founders believe that small choices can make a big difference in protecting the planet. They have thoughtfully designed the packaging with organic paint and a biodegradable cork, making sure that even the small choices made in packaging leave the planet in a better place.
