



When Gordon Murray Special Vehicles (GMSV) pulled the covers off its first two models at Monterey Car Week, the atmosphere was charged with reverence. For automotive purists, it wasn’t just another supercar launch — it was the rebirth of a racing legend. Both cars, the S1 LM and Le Mans GTR, are unapologetically crafted as tributes to one of the most significant endurance racing victories of all time: Gordon Murray’s 1995 Le Mans win.




GMSV is the newly minted sister brand to Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA). While GMA focuses on ultra-premium, hand-built production supercars, GMSV’s mission is different: one-off commissions, heritage-inspired continuations, and limited editions that exist entirely outside the bounds of conventional automotive manufacturing. These cars are designed for collectors who want machines that transcend transportation — pieces of moving engineering art.




The S1 LM — “Special One”
The S1 LM is the company’s very first commission, created for a client whose passion for Murray’s ’90s-era race cars inspired the project. Limited to just five units worldwide, it’s a road-legal longtail homage that pushes Murray’s famed “seven principles” to their most extreme interpretation yet — with a particular focus on lightweighting, engineering artistry, and absolute driving purity.
Clad in entirely new, ultra-lightweight carbon fiber bodywork, the S1 LM wears an aggressive aerodynamic package with a front splitter, rear diffuser, and a dual-element rear wing, all purpose-built for high downforce and stability. At its core lies a bespoke 4.3-liter naturally aspirated V12, delivering over 700 PS and spinning to a screaming 12,100 rpm. Coupled with a rifle-bolt six-speed manual, the driving experience is visceral and unfiltered — the way Murray believes performance cars are meant to be.
The Le Mans GTR — Longtail Legacy
If the S1 LM is the road warrior, the Le Mans GTR is the track-bred assassin. Inspired not only by Murray’s own ’95 Le Mans longtail, but also by endurance legends like the Porsche 917 and Matra-Simca MS660, the GTR features a wider stance, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, stiffer suspension, and advanced aero, including a full-width rear wing and twin-channel diffuser.
Underneath, it shares the same high-revving GMA V12, but with chassis tweaks and cooling upgrades that give it relentless track-day endurance. Only 24 examples will be produced — one for every hour of Le Mans — and all are already sold.
Both cars are more than just machines. They’re a philosophy in motion: lightweight, driver-first, mechanically pure. In a world of hybrid complexity and electronic filters, GMSV has doubled down on the mechanical essence of racing — and for a select few owners, these will be the ultimate expression of road and track freedom. Deliveries for both begin in 2026, but their legend started the moment they were unveiled.
