Gordon Murray, the visionary behind some of the most iconic supercars ever built, is back with an ultra-rare creation that pushes design and engineering to the limit. The Gordon Murray Special Vehicles S1 LM is a modern homage to the McLaren F1 GTR, which he famously designed and which secured victory at the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans. Revealed at The Quail, this new model uses the foundations of the T.50 but adds bespoke styling and performance enhancements to honor its motorsport roots.

Visually, the S1 LM strikes a balance between heritage and innovation, featuring a roof-mounted air intake, center-mounted quad exhaust, and a split rear wing that calls back to the F1 GTR. Underneath, however, lies a thoroughly modern rework: a stiffer and lighter suspension system, a wider track, larger tires, and an advanced cooling setup. Together, these improvements sharpen track performance without sacrificing longevity.

Power comes from a naturally aspirated 4.3-liter V12, delivering 690 hp at a screaming 12,100 rpm—a true ode to high-revving purists. Paired with a six-speed manual transmission and enhanced by an Inconel exhaust wrapped in 18-karat gold heat shielding, Gordon Murray’s S1 LM is engineered as much for thrill as for beauty. Production is limited to just five units worldwide, all street legal, with deliveries beginning in 2026. Pricing remains under wraps, but with exclusivity this extreme, the S1 LM is destined to become one of the most coveted modern supercars ever built.
