Designed to embrace the legacy of the iconic 1975 model, the Laureato Absolute was unveiled in 2019. This timepiece was designed to evince the strong masculine character of the original offering. Now, the latest chapter of this riveting story is the Girard Perregaux Laureato Absolute Wired model. Its futuristic design, though unique, remains committed to the brand’s reputation for uncompromising craftsmanship. It has a power reserve of 46 hours and water resistance to 5 ATM. The Girard Perregaux Laureato Absolute Wired model is 44mm in diameter and is housed in a unique Carbon Glass case. The process of forming this case, by layering fiberglass and carbon fiber, guarantees full water resistance. This also means the housing will withstand high pressure and temperatures.
The bezel uses the same material and manufacturing process as the case, however, it is further augmented with hues of electric blue. The inner workings of the timepiece feature a self-winding chronograph movement. This drives two counter and small seconds and also features a date display. The design guarantees impeccably accurate timekeeping, which is the most basic purpose of any timepiece, statement, or otherwise. The physical appearance of the timepiece is remarkably unique. It features a matte, textured finish created with uneven strata, which ensures a unique and masculine look to each individual timepiece. The case also adheres to and honors Girard-Perregaux’s signature octagonal shape. The Laureato Absolute Wired model will be limited to only 88 pieces. This reduced availability will enhance not only the uniqueness of the timepiece but will also add to its exclusivity.
