Creativity is at the heart of the Garage Italia Fiat 500 Jolly Icon-e. The Fiat 500 Jolly was introduced in 1957, and with this retrofitted electric car well preserves the style and history. This four-seat car is made with the collector in mind, retrofitting the combustion engine with a fully electric drivetrain.
Garage Italia has removed the roof and side doors, replaced the leather seats with woven handmade rope, and swapped out the headlights for LEDs. There are modern touches throughout, including a digital dashboard and charging port. The car is built with re-use and upcycling design principles. The tires are selected from a vintage line by Michelin, Garage Italia’s partner for the project. The stick shift? It has two speeds, marked by tortoise and hare icons.
