The 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show starts on September 14, and boy did Ferrari just give attendees something to look forward to when the event commences in Germany this fall. Specifically, it’s called the Ferrari Portofino, and it has been designed to replace the automaker’s California T model as the entry-level vehicle it offers. And there is a lot to like about the Portofino.

Not only does it look great, but its specs are out of this world. Under the hood, there’s a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine capable of delivering up to 590 horsepower. That translates to a 0 to 60 mph time of about 3.5 seconds. What’s more is that the Portofino is outfitted with a new intake system that’s specifically designed to eliminate lag and enhance the vehicle’s throttle response — both of which contribute to an overall increased performance.

The Ferrari Portofino is a triple threat of sportiness, luxury and comfort, and being it’s an entry-level model offered by the automaker, we’re guessing that a lot of people are going to be interested in learning more about it in Frankfurt in a few weeks. All you need to do is take one look at its exterior for it to make an impression. And then when you actually get behind the wheel… lookout.
