There is buying a new Ferrari wealth, and then there is ordering a coach-built Ferrari kind of wealth. This custom-built Ferrari used the 812 Superfast as its foundation and was commissioned by an undisclosed client in Europe. It is called the Ferrari Omologata, and according to Car Scoops, the only standard bits of bodywork left on this car are the headlights and windshield. The styling is meant to evoke hints of Ferrari’s racing pedigree. A flattened-oval front grille brings to mind F1 cars from the 1950s. The Omologata features deeply set taillights, a larger rear diffuser, aggressive angled haunches and the horizontal transversal cuts in the back window making it look like the car has louvers. This bespoke body is finished in a custom shade of triple-layered Rosso Magma over dark carbon-fiber.
The interior is black with a cracked paint effect used on the metal parts of the steering wheel and dash. It may take you a moment to realize that there is no screen inside the car. The interior door handles feature a paint effect to make it look like they were fabricated using a hammer, like in the old days. Ferrari did not say if the Omologata’s drivetrain also received custom work, but even in its stock form, the 812 Superfast offers plenty of motivation to prance around a track. It uses a naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 pushing out nearest to 800 horsepower and 530 pounds-feet of torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission sends all those horses to the rear-wheels to gallop from zero to 60 in 2.9 seconds and all the way to a top speed of 211 mph. The Omologata is not for sale because it’s already been sold. As the digital viewing public, we can only admire this car and daydream about what our own custom Ferrari would look like.
