Ferrari’s Special Projects division is where dreams are designed, built, and driven. It’s a place where customers go with blank checks and a list of demands to develop their own personalized Ferrari. Of course, money alone can’t buy happiness, but a one-of-a-kind Ferrari can certainly help you find it. The latest completed project from this unique division is the Ferrari BR20. This 12-cylinder powered prancing horse is a modern incarnation of the V12 GT Ferraris of the late 1950s and early 1960s. The BR20 has Superfast looks, based on the GTC4Lusso, and is modified with custom aerodynamics.
The most significant changes on the Ferrari BR20 are found in the bodywork. Underneath, the car is a GTC4Lusso, but it now sits three inches longer, and the headlamps are smaller and sit lower compared to the standard model. It also ditched the rear seats. This saves on weight and allows designers to create a more aggressive fastback roofline creating two aerodynamic arches that start at the A-pillar and run parallel to the rear spoiler. The rear bumper features twin-tail lights with matching twin round tailpipes unique to the BR20. As a result, it’s a Ferrari that can be mistaken for different models depending on the angle. In addition, the Ferrari BR20 sits on a set of 20-inch tone-on-tone diamond finish wheels for maximum flex.
Inside the one-off Ferrari BR20 is a cabin dressed in dark brown leather and carbon fiber held together with silver cross-stitching. The lack of rear seats and uninterrupted roofline creates an open-air space similar to sitting in a business class seat – total luxury, for two. This custom bodywork is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12, producing 680-hp and 514 lb.-ft of torque. No word as to how much the Ferrari BR20 will cost and expect it to be a secret between Ferrari, the owner, and the presumed accountant.
