Recently unveiled at the Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach, California, the Ferrari 488 Pista Spider delivers the high-performance driving experience of a standard Pista but adds the thrill of an optional open-air top.
The 488 Pista Spider features the same twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 engine as its recently-released, coupe-bodied sister. It delivers the same 711 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque to rocket from 0 to 62 miles per hour in less than 3 seconds. But, unlike the 488 Pista Coupe, the 488 Pista Spider allows you to make this rapidly accelerating trip with the wind blowing through your hair and the finely tuned engine rumble echoing in your ears.
By adding a removable hardtop to its new 488, Ferrari coincidentally created the 50th convertible model in its long and storied history. Not only does the 488 Pista Spider hardtop maintain the supreme aerodynamics of the 488 Pista Coupe, but it maintains its aesthetic lines with a central blue livery, which traverses the entire length of the vehicle.
