As a follow-on to Farer’s highly popular 2019 Cobb Chronograph, the brand will soon be releasing the Farer Cobb Monopusher Chronograph. Inspired by famed British racing driver, John Cobb, who broke the world land speed record in 1939 and then raised it again in 1947 to 394.19 mph, Farer has now devoted a second new timepiece to this high-speed racer. The Cobb Monopusher Chronograph features an eye-catching hue of sunburst blue, with two cream-colored sub-dials, and a contrasting orange chronograph hand. Thrown into the mix is a swath of yellow in the 30-minute dial to highlight the ten-minute marker. The applied numerals are built of solid cast Super-Luminova and backfilled in a striking deep blue colorway.
The 40.5mm Farer Cobb Monopusher Chronograph is powered by the Swiss-made Sellita SW510 MP Elaboré, specially designed to function as a monopusher. Yet another notable feature of the Monopusher Chronograph is the rare Pulsometer scale on the rehaut, which is the raised inner bezel between the crystal and dial. This feature is designed to measure the heart rate in combination with the chronograph function. Users start the chronograph Pulsometer and then count to 30. When the wearer reaches 30, they then read the corresponding heart rate in beats per minute on the inner bezel. Farer will ship the Cobb Monopusher Chronograph on February 12, 2022, but preorders are being taken now.
