The 99th running of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb is happening this month. Earlier in the year, Bentley debuted its Continental GT3 Pikes Peak race car to compete at the event. This luxury GT racer uses a turbocharged V8 to produce 520-horsepower and run from zero to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds. Now, we can’t all be there to witness this four-wheeled gentleman’s coupe charge up the hill in person, and we certainly can’t drive it. However, Fanatec has partnered with Bentley to create a carbon fiber sim-racing steering wheel that just so happens to be compatible with the actual race car.
This gamer steering wheel is constructed out of carbon fiber with magnesium alloy for durability and authenticity. It features knurling on rotary encoders, two FunkySwitch seven-way directional sticks, aluminum thumbwheels, and four magnetic paddles. A large circular telemetry display in the center is used to provide need-to-know information. The Fanatec Bentley GT3 steering wheel is compatible with any of Fantec’s wheelbases. At the time of this publication, no details have been released on pricing and availability. However, it is safe to assume that, like a Bentley GT3 race car, this steering wheel will be limited production and 14,000 feet away from cheap.
Here’s another Fanatec Sim Racing Steering Wheel – the 2022 BMW M4 GT3 Steering Wheel.
