Ducati unveiled a new variant of its sports adventure bike dubbed the Multistrada V4 Rally. The name suggests a rugged off-road-focused enduro motorcycle. However, Ducati went the extra mile to make long-distance travel more comfortable, regardless of the terrain.
Built on the standard 1158cc Multistrada, the V4 Rally features a new off-road enduro ride mode with a rear cylinder deactivation system that engages while riding. This deactivation system works in all riding modes and cancels when the rider twists harder on the throttle. The result of this system is to increase fuel efficiency. Moreover, the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally features a new 30-liter aluminum fuel tank for added range.
The motorcycle’s ergonomics are improved for rider comfort with a new larger screen measuring 40mm in height and 20mm in width. The bike’s tail is stretched, allowing for more pillion leg room with larger foot peg rubbers to help reduce vibrations. The motorcycle’s seat height is adjustable for the front and back, and lower suspension makes mounting easier for shorter riders. Riders can also lower the bike at low speeds using the semi-active Marzocchi suspension and Minimum Preload function, standard on all Ducati V4 models.
Other standard features include a center stand and auto-leveling feature in the springs to help cope with luggage payloads. In addition, the bike features 230mm of ground clearance with an extended sump guard to protect against rough terrain impacts when traveling off-road. The Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally comes standard with adaptive radar cruise control, optional heated grips, saddles, and a homologated Akrapovic silencer. The new Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally arrives at dealers in February 2023.
