In case you haven’t noticed, our favorite rock idols are kicking the bucket at an alarming pace. We’ve seen giants like Lemmy, Bowie and Prince – to name but a few – recently depart to a better place. If this isn’t a strong enough signal that you should hurry and see your idols perform live, I don’t know what is.

Luckily, the producers behind Coachella have answered your prayers in the form of The Classic Rock Festival to end all Classic Rock Festivals. Taking place during two weekends in October (7, 8, 9th and 14, 15, 16th at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California), Desert Trip is an unprecedented amalgamation of the artists that shaped the rock n’ roll landscape as we know it. The list of performers reads like a satirical piece. It’s so unlikely – it must be true.

The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan are opening the bill on Friday, while Saturday will see Paul McCartney and Neil Young. Finally, Roger Waters and The Who will close the event on Sunday.

While tickets have sold out on the official site, there are countless online purchasing avenues through which you can obtain your priceless entry pass.

Don’t look back on Fall 2016 with regret, book that trip to California to experience iconic Classic Rock greatness and earn your well-deserved bragging rights until the end of time.
