A legend in the design of “less is more” items that generate a truly timeless quality, Dieter Rams is best known for his work with the multifaceted German consumer products company Braun. His products have inspired generations of industrial designers to put functionality first and ground aspirations of aesthetic beauty within a commitment to outstanding execution.
In advance of a forthcoming documentary about Rams (directed by award-winning documentarian Gary Hustwit), four different limited edition prints (total of 100 copies) are hitting the market to the great delight of art lovers and design aficionados everywhere. Featuring depictions of some of Rams’ most iconic work for Braun and the British furniture company Vitsoe, these prints were designed by Build and silkscreened in three to six colors by Daniel MacAdam at Crosshair Chicago. They are available for presale online through the Brooklyn arts collective Oh You Pretty Things.
