côte&ciel was founded in Paris in 2008. A noted fabricator of bags of all shapes and sizes, côte&ciel has a unique approach to the design process of its goods as stated on its website: “Creativity is the beating heart of everything we do. No pencils, NO PATTERNS. OUR SHAPES BEGIN with a geometric surface. WE FOLD, twist, STITCH, fill, REFLECT… and fold AGAIN.” Taking one of the company’s most popular utilitarian designs, the ISAR Backpack, côte&ciel has unveiled the ISAR Air, an updated version of the original, that is 30 percent lighter than its predecessor.
The ISAR air is constructed with EcoYarn fabric, which is an upcycled yarn that saves water, energy, CO2 emissions, and toxic chemicals. The bag features a comfy, padded breathable mesh back panel and adjustable cushioned shoulder straps for a flexible, sporty fit. The buckle securing the bag’s front section can unclip to allow full expansion for packing all your EDC while keeping your laptop secure in the padded device pocket. Water-resistant, the ISAR Air comes in black and grey colorways.
