Citroen SpaceTourer 4X4 E Concept

The rugged all-terrain van SpaceTourer 4X4 E Concept from Citroen is the ultimate do-it-all vehicle for those living an active lifestyle.

All-terrain vans are the ultimate utility vehicles, offering space, practicality, and off-roadability that no other vehicle can match. Take it on your ski trip, camping trip, or even to the beach; all-terrain vans are the ultimate do-it-all vehicle for those living an active lifestyle.

Introducing a decidedly French take on the subject, Citroen reveals the SpaceTourer 4X4 E Concept that’s slotted to be officially unveiled at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. Based on the smaller XS bodystyle, the SpaceTourer 4X4 E Concept comes equipped with an all-wheel drive system and a more rugged appearance. Powering the all-terrain van is Citroen’s BlueHDi 150 diesel engine paired to a six-speed manual gear box. Visually, the rugged exterior wears more aggressive front and rear skid plates, a winter camo-inpsired paint job, and red accents in the snow chains. Citroen is staying hushed about whether the vehicle will go into production, but have confirmed that this prototype all-wheel drive system is feasible for application on a production model. Here’s to hoping that this concept gets to see the light of day, as it’s a quirky enough vehicle that could make vans cool again.
