Caviar, a brand that is well known for creating incredibly pricey custom variants of popular gadgets, has announced a version of Apple’s new AirPods Max over-ear headphones. The Caviar Airpods Max Golden Black come in white-and-gold and black-and-gold versions. Both feature earcups covered in 18-carat gold, replacing the current aluminum found on the Apple AirPods Max. Caviar has also replaced the mesh headband with “rare black (or white) crocodile leather,” and features two 18-carat gold rings inscribed with Caviar’s branding. The rings are found at the base of the headband, adding more character to the already luxurious audio accessories.
The Caviar AirPods Max Golden Blacks use the Apple AirPods Max same Adaptive EQ, Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency Mode, and spatial audio. The Caviar AirPods also offer battery life with up to 20 hours of high-fidelity audio, talk time, or movie playback. Those hoping to get the AirPods Max Golden Blacks in either white or black will do well to decide quickly as the luxe device and accessory maker will only sell one unit of each.
