Inspired by iconic designer Hans J. Wegner, the company has developed the new Opala Lighting Series, a complete selection of stylish home lights.
With seven lighting options for a complete home refresh, the Hans J. Wegner’s Opala Lighting Series is characterized by Wegner’s world-class approach to furniture design, with a sleek and modernistic aesthetic. These versatile lighting solutions include a selection of desk lamps, floor lamps, and pendant lights, playfully exploring asymmetric shapes and soft-focus lighting.
The collection begins with the HJW01 Opala Table Lamp Mini, based on a design by Wegner in 1973 for Hotel Scandinavia in Copenhagen. It has a slightly tilted shade and a painted aluminum top with an acrylic shade. Also available in a larger version, its soft illumination lends it to use in home living rooms or office spaces.
Continuing Carl Hansen & Søn Hans J. Wegner’s Opala Lighting Series is the Floor Lamp Midi, available in black and white color variations and smooth and striking chrome. It retains the futuristic tilt of the table lamp and is suitable for ambient light or reading.
With two pendant mini ceiling lights also available, the Carl Hansen & Søn Hans J. Wegner’s Opala Lighting Series delivers a consistent lighting theme throughout the home.
