Just in time for summer, The House of Creed has released its new, fresh Viking Cologne, a fragrance bursting with botanicals. It is exceedingly expressive and opens with top notes of sharp lemon, mild mandarin, and zesty bergamot. Then, through the subtle spice of pink peppercorns, Viking Cologne introduces its enticing heart notes. Imagine woody nutmeg, rich rosemary, and sage. There are also additional, more delicate notes of lavender and geranium at play, but even they are bolstered by a strong, deep base of sandalwood and cedarwood.
Creed’s Viking Cologne is a natural next step on from the original Viking, a bold, masculine fragrance that launched in 2017. And, while the bottle bears the ‘cologne’ name, this is actually cooler and more aromatic, combining the headiness of an Eau de Parfum with the fresh twist of an Eau de Cologne. Creating unique scents is in the blood of the Creed family. Today, Olivier Creed – a direct descendent of James Henry Creed who founded the British brand seven generations ago – holds the baton. Accompanied by his son, he travels around the world to research and source the finest materials, such as rose from Bulgaria, Calabrian bergamot, and Italian jasmine. These ingredients are then mixed by hand using a highly intricate four-thousand-year-old infusion technique, designed to ensure the highest level of quality and authenticity. It is this combination of upholding tradition and constant innovation that sets The House of Creed apart from the rest.
