Rugged with the real-life cred to back it up, the Brooklyn Coachworks 1958 Land Rover Series II UTE is no ordinary Land Rover. It traveled across Australia from east to west and north to south. It was built with both a completely reconditioned 2.25-liter engine and a gearbox that’s been completely reconditioned and upgraded to 4 synchronized gears in line with the Series III specs. The foundation of this Land Rover is a galvanized one-ton chassis along with heavy-duty rear and front axles.
Multiple upgrades, such as twin fuel tanks and 33-inch BF Goodrich tires on Wolf wheels, ensure that this Land Rover can tackle any long-range trek you can imagine. Non-standard gauges inside let you keep tabs on everything from oil pressure to gearbox temperature. A 20-gallon freshwater tank is located on the canvas-covered rear tray. This multi-functional tray also features roll-up windows and wiring for a portable refrigerator. Entertainment is delivered via a stereo/CD player inside the cab’s tropical roof.
