The BMW Skytop has arrived, making waves as a stunning limited-edition roadster that blends timeless design with state-of-the-art engineering. Initially showcased as the BMW Concept Skytop at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2024, the overwhelming response from enthusiasts inspired BMW to produce just 50 units of this elegant two-seater. With its sculptural design and powerful V8 engine, the BMW Skytop promises to be one of the Bavarian carmaker’s most coveted collector’s items.
Under the hood, the BMW Skytop packs a 4.4-liter V8 engine producing 625 hp, launching this masterpiece from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.3 seconds. Paired with BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission, the Skytop delivers exceptional stability and dynamic performance in any driving situation. Its design pays homage to BMW’s legendary roadsters, like the BMW Z8, while introducing futuristic elements like the illuminated kidney grille and slim LED headlights.
Inside, the Skytop’s cabin is a work of art featuring handpicked materials, leather-trimmed seats, and crystal accents that exude luxury. The soft-top roof and retractable rear window enhance the open-road experience. At the same time, the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System and BMW Live Cockpit Professional add cutting-edge technology to the mix.
Adrian van Hooydonk, head of BMW Group Design, announced that all 50 units of the Skytop were quickly claimed by collectors, underscoring its status as a true automotive masterpiece. With its exclusive design, powerful performance, and meticulous craftsmanship, the BMW Skytop isn’t just a car—it’s a statement of sophistication and innovation destined to become a legend.
