Swiss luxury watchmaker, Blancpain has partnered with HODINKEE to release the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms MIL-SPEC Hodinkee Limited Edition. Inspired by the first Fifty Fathoms MIL-SPEC timepieces created in the 1950s, Blancpain has revisited its quintessential diver with this limited-edition release. The Fifty Fathoms MIL-SPEC HODINKEE Limited Edition is characterized by an authentic and minimalist design underscoring Blancpain’s technical expertise in the field of diver’s watches.
The new 40.3mm Blancpain MIL-SPEC model faithfully reflects this demonstrated expertise. This is particularly evident on its dial, where the hours, minutes, and seconds indications stand out clearly thanks to luminescent hands and hour-markers. Its unidirectional rotating bezel – an essential characteristic for precise measurement of immersion time – also features a Super-LumiNova-enhanced graduated scale protected by a rounded sapphire insert. The Blancpain Fifty Fathoms MIL-SPEC Hodinkee Limited Edition release will be comprised of only 250 pieces, with 200 available on the New York-based website’s on-line store, and the remaining 50 at select Blancpain boutiques.
