Paris-based Bell & Ross has announced that it is giving one of its perennial designs the full lum treatment with the new Bell & Ross BR V2-94 Diver Full Lum. The brand released the BR 03-92 Diver Full Lum last summer, a brilliant dive watch coated in Super-LumiNova whose whole dial as well as its bezel indicators glowed bright green in the dark. Now, Bell & Ross has added a coat of paint made from green Super-LumiNova C5 luminescent pigments to the BR V2-94 Full Lum’s dial. The hands, numerals, and indicators are brushed with a pale yellow Super-LumiNova C3, as are the chronograph and small seconds sub-dials at nine and three o’clock respectively. These Super-LumiNova coats absorb light during daylight hours and at night the watch comes alive with a combination of glowing green and yellow.
Rendered in stainless steel, with a case diameter of 41mm, 100-meter water resistance, tapered lugs, screw-down pushers, and a fixed bezel with an anodized black insert, the Bell & Ross BR V2-94 looks both militaristic and somewhat sporty. The dial configuration is in line with previous V2-94 chronographs by Bell & Ross. It is complete with oversized Arabic numerals on the top and bottom of the dial, large sub-dials at the other two quarter-hour positions, a small non-luminous date window at the 4:30 position, and aviation-inspired hands at the center of the face. Only 250 pieces will be available for purchase. Preorders are now being taken and the watch will ship by the end of April.
