At the heart of the Beosystem 3000c is a meticulously restored Beogram 3000 turntable originally introduced in 1985. Rather than reproducing the design from scratch, Bang & Olufsen sources vintage units and rebuilds them at its facility in Struer, Denmark. Each turntable receives a new walnut rear panel, re-anodized aluminum components, updated cabling, a new dust cover, and a modern cartridge while preserving the original tangential-tracking tonearm that helped make the Beogram 3000 a design icon.
The turntable is paired with a stereo set of Beolab 8 wireless speakers finished in matching gray aluminum and artisan walnut. While the Beogram delivers the tactile experience of vinyl playback, the speakers add modern conveniences including AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Bluetooth 5.3, and Wi-Fi streaming. The combination creates a system that can move seamlessly from a carefully selected LP to a high-resolution streaming playlist without compromising the visual cohesion of the setup.
The latest Dune Grey Edition draws inspiration from the colors and textures of the Nordic coastline, pairing muted gray aluminum with dark walnut details throughout the system. As with previous entries in the Recreated Classics series, exclusivity is part of the appeal. Only 100 individually numbered systems will be produced worldwide, each engraved and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
At $30,000, the Beosystem 3000c occupies a rarefied corner of the hi-fi market. Yet its appeal extends beyond specifications.
