With its vintage-inspired but original design and attractive 39mm steel case, French brand Baltic’s AQUASCAPHE dive watch has been a hit in its various iterations. Until now, each has had a dark dial of black or blue, but the latest is this refreshing and highly legible version that flips the color scheme in favor of a white dial. The Baltic AQUASCAPHE White retains all the technical characteristics of this collection: water-resistance of 200m, a unidirectional rotating bezel, and reasonable dimensions. This is an elegant dive watch that combines functionality and timeless style, down to the smallest detail.
The dial of the Baltic AQUASCAPHE White has a grained finish and indexes surrounded by black that are coated with SuperLuminova BGW9. Simple shapes ensure an optimal reading of the time while maintaining Baltic’s own visual identity. The Baltic AQUASCAPHE White sports a double-domed sapphire crystal that gives this dive watch a strong presence as well as an elegant profile. Offering maximum readability, the Baltic AQUASCAPHE White features distinctive black hands and a black bezel. These two elements offer a contrast to the white dial, providing a quick reading of the time. Combined with the triangle at 12 o’clock and the 60-minute scale, the unidirectional rotating bezel allows precise measurement of one’s diving time. Powered by a Miyota 9039 automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve, the AQUASCAPHE White is finished with a choice of white, blue, or black tropic rubber strap or a stainless beads of rice bracelet option.
