Orijin is a small design company with a big idea—to harmoniously intertwine form and function. Aroma|59 is an excellent example—a fragrance that is solid rather than liquid. Orijin says the goal is to use natural materials to provide a transcending experience. Aroma|59’s solid formula features a softer scent than commercial fragrances. It is alcohol-free, and the company uses a natural anhydrous wax that melts into warm skin. There are three fragrances in the line: Delmare, inspired by the ocean breezes of the west coast, with sea salt, bamboo, and Jasmine—Arbol, featuring earthy notes of patchouli, amber, and musk—and Vista, scented with rose, bergamot, and lily of the valley.
Additionally, the fragrance is vegan, dye, and paraben-free, and has no animal testing. Aroma|59 comes in a sleek, capsule-shaped, refillable, and recyclable Zamak alloy container. It features a hinge and ballpoint lock and a reinforced insert to protect the fragrance. Orijin says scent can be tricky. It can be nauseatingly powerful or so faint you don’t smell a thing. Aroma|59 strikes a balance with notes that are subtle, natural, and lasting. Orijin is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to fund the production of their original fragrance products, Aroma|59. The company says they are passionate and committed to starting shipping capsules by September 2022.
