Apple’s latest unveiling at its special ‘Glowtime’ event today brings the Apple Watch Series 10 and Ultra 2, two impressive updates that push the boundaries of what a smartwatch can do. The Series 10 stands out with its wide-angle OLED display, the largest ever on an Apple Watch, and a new ultra-thin design 9.7mm thick, making it nearly 10% slimmer and 20% lighter than the Series 9.
This model is crafted in new materials, including Grade 5 titanium, which replaces stainless steel, enhancing durability without adding weight. Apple promises faster charging—up to 80% in just 30 minutes—and the ability to play music and podcasts directly from the watch’s speaker for the first time. The Apple Watch Series 10 starts at $399 and $499 for cellular models and is available for preorder now. The watch will be available starting Friday, September 20.
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is built for those who push their limits, whether on land, sea, or trail. With a 49mm corrosion-resistant titanium case, 100m water resistance, and a super-bright Always-On Retina display, the Ultra 2 is rugged and ready for anything. It boasts advanced features like precision dual-frequency GPS, new workout metrics, and enhanced water sports capabilities, including the Oceanic+ app that turns your watch into a dive computer.
The Ultra 2 offers up to 36 hours of battery life, extends to 72 hours in Low Power Mode, and includes advanced health and safety features like Fall Detection and the Blood Oxygen app. With its specialized bands for endurance athletes, outdoor adventurers, and water sports enthusiasts, the Ultra 2 is Apple’s most capable and versatile watch yet. It is available for preorder, starting at $799, and will be available on September 20.
