Aimé Leon Dore, the fashion label led by Teddy Santis, is set to release three new pairs of New Balance 860v2 sneakers. Santis, who became the creative director for the New Balance Made In USA program in April 2021, has been successful in relaunching forgotten and beloved products through his fashion imprint, Aimé Leon Dore.
The New Balance 860v2 was originally launched in 2011 as a top-of-the-line performance running sneaker. Its use of breathable mesh and glossy synthetic panels throughout the upper speaks to design vernacular of the past, but it also plays into the unshakeable “dad shoe” trend of the last several years. Santis has maintained the mid-2010s performance model’s original design intact with grey and cream-colored base layers, accented with either green, red, or blue highlights.
The sneakers feature nods to Santis’ successful imprint in place of traditional branding on the top of the tongue, while co-branding appears on the sockliners in the typical New Balance Running font. The popular N-ergy sole unit keeps a greyscale color palette, SBS insert, and reliable outsole.
The upcoming trio by Aimé Leon Dore is set to be released via a raffle, which closes today, April 5th. The sneakers are likely to be popular, given the recent trend towards dad shoes and the success of previous collaborations between New Balance and Aimé Leon Dore.
Sneaker enthusiasts and fans of Aimé Leon Dore can’t wait to get their hands on these stylish and comfortable running-inspired sneakers. Keep an eye out for more information about the release and be sure to enter the raffle for a chance to own a pair of these highly coveted sneakers.
