The A. Lange & Söhne Odysseus, which featured the watchmaker’s first stainless-steel case, made quite the splash when it debuted last fall. Now, it’s spawned a second generation with even more striking features. The new version of the Odysseus boasts a 40.5mm case made of white gold and shows a more subdued gray face, in contrast to the original’s blue dial. Most distinctively, there is a ring of fine grooves around the dial that is replicated in the subdial as well. Rather than using the first Odysseus’s steel bracelet, the company offers this white-gold edition in either a brown leather or a black rubber strap.
A. Lange & Söhne’s Odysseus line is meant for the active wearer. These watches are sporty yet elegant, as the company categorizes them, making each ideal for out-and-about adventures given their water-resistant case and bold, highly legible displays. Whether you’re out on a schooner or kicking back in the den, the white-gold Odysseus isn’t likely to let you down in either the looks or the performance department.
