Porsche pulled out all the stops when updating the Cayenne lineup for 2024, going beyond a simple redesigned front bumper and infotainment screen. The 2024 Porsche Cayenne lineup features more performance and technology throughout its gasoline and hybrid variants. Here are some highlights you can expect when the 2024 model arrives in U.S. dealerships this summer.
For starters, the interior of the 2024 Porsche Cayenne received a new screen-focused dashboard like the electric Taycan. As a result, the Cayenne’s gear selector has been moved up to the dashboard, creating a new sense of space for the analog climate controls and freeing up the center console space. In addition, the instruments are now fully digital and displayed on a 12.6-inch screen with an optional heads-up display and a standard 12.3-inch infotainment screen featuring the latest Porsche Communication Management software.
In terms of styling, the 2024 model year Porsche Cayenne gains a new hood with redesigned headlights and a revised bumper showcasing more aggressively shaped air inlets. In addition, the rear fascia and long roofline have been revised to match the front, with slightly different taillights. New color options include Algarve Blue metallic, Montego Blue metallic, and Arctic Grey.
Under the hood, the 2024 Porsche Cayenne base model’s 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 produces 348 horsepower, up 13 ponies from the previous year. The Cayenne S ditches its 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 for a rumbling twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 making 468 hp. This same V8 provides the foundation for the drivetrain in the Cayenne Turbo GT, making 650 hp. An eight-speed automatic transmission remains the standard.
Performance enhancements continue in the Cayenne lineup with the E-Hybrid with a new 174 electric motor and larger 20.6-kWh battery resulting in 464 hp. The new upgraded 2024 Porsche Cayenne SUV lineup is scheduled to arrive in U.S. dealers by the summer. However, Porsche is currently accepting orders if you can’t wait that long.
