Porsche unveiled a new variant of the 911 Carrera GTS for the U.S. market. The new model is the 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America. To put it simply, this is a limited-edition 2023 Carrera GTS convertible with a luxurious interior and available manual transmission.
Mechanically, the new GTS Cabriolet America is based on the current Carrera GTS Cabriolet. The 3.0-liter flat-six produces 473-hp and 420 lb.-ft of torque with the aid of twin-turbochargers. The GTS Cabriolet America features Porsche’s Active Suspension Management Sport system, Sport Chrono Package, and sport exhaust are all standard on the 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America. In addition, the car features cast-iron brakes but can be optioned with ceramic composite brakes.
The car’s Azure Blue exterior paint is a homage to the original 1953 Porsche 356 American Roadster. Porsche added a set of white spoke RS Spyder Design wheels to complement the color with a red pinstripe along the edge of the rim. Additionally, the car’s profile sees a white decal with the word ‘America’ cut with a red stripe. Inside, the cabin features a two-tone upholstery of Guard Red and Pebble Gray and the ‘America’ logo on the center console. Those living in the U.S. can expect to see the 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America arriving at dealers in late 2022.
