Genesis has given the G70 a new face for 2022. This redesign marks a sibling resemblance to the Genesis G80 and SUV GV80. The 2022 G70 offers a slicked-back design with a set of horizontal quad-headlamps that looks like a jungle cat staring down its prey, paired with a diamond crest front grille. These quad-LED lights continue in the back as taillights with subtle flowing curves making up this luxury four-door sedan profile.

Performance for the 2022 Genesis G70 comes from a 2.5-liter inline turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 290 horsepower. On a slightly disappointing note, Genesis announced the manual transmission option has been axed and will no longer be available on the G70. But don’t blame Genesis; blame everyone who didn’t buy a manual option. Inside the 2022 G70 will be a 10.3-inch infotainment screen as standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. New for 2022 is a larger wireless charging pad designed to fit the latest, full-sized smartphones. The new G70 will go on sale in South Korea as soon as next month and arrive in the U.S. as early as 2021. Genesis mentioned an estate wagon version of the new G70. No word on whether that model will reach U.S. soil or stay in South Korea. More details to be announced later in the year.
