Upon its release in 2015, the original R8 LMS GT3 became the fastest Audi in the storied history of the venerable automobile manufacturer. Now, newly updated with more powerful V10 naturally-aspirated engines, the R8 is even faster.
United under the banner “born on the track, built for the road,” both the R8 Coupé and the R8 Spyder feature sportier body designs with a wider Singleframe radiator grille and flat hood slits that resemble the Audi Ur-quattro brand icon. Other key upgrades include a modified razor-sharp suspension and enhanced steering response.
The 2019 Audi R8 can be ordered with a wealth of optional features such as a front stabilizer of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer/aluminum and fully-milled, ultra-light, 20-inch wheels in five-V dynamic design. Audi also offers cosmetic touches such as exterior Audi rings/badges painted in high-gloss black.
Hot on the heels of its dramatic review at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, the 2019 Audi R8 will drop in European dealerships early in 2019.
