Although mostly known for their luxury sedans like the impeccable S-Class, Mercedes-Benz has a long history of making elegant two-door coupes. Their latest in a long line of graceful coupes is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe that takes their coupe offerings to a new level.
Shorter than the sedan, but longer and wider than its predecessor, the two door coupe features Mercedes’ iconic pillarless design that accentuates its flowing silhouette. While the front end stays true to its E-Class roots, the elegant rear end is reminiscent of its big brother, the S-Class Coupe, with horizontal taillights that accentuate the width of the car. The interior stays fairly unchanged, apart from the new jet engine turbine-inspired design for the vents that give the cabin a sportier and futuristic appearance. It’s filled to the brim with convenience and technology, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Mbrace Concierge service, Drive Pilot semi-autonomous driver assist, Distance Pilot Distronic adaptive cruise control, and more. Offered in a variety of four and six cylinder engines, the E-Class Coupe will be topped by the E400 with a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine that produces 329-hp that sends power to the rear wheels or all four wheels. Although no official announcements have been made, we expect to see some form of AMG variant of the E-Class Coupe to launch in the near future.
